What wouldnt you buy in a Dollar Store?

Actually, the dollar store and dollar general test were always more effective for me than the regular expensive ones. I used to buy a bunch and keep them on hand when we were trying to conceive. They are also more sensitive (i.e you can find out sooner) than a lot of the expensive tests.

I would not buy prophylactics at the dollar store.

I get first dibs on anything new they get there. As far as food and meds go, Dollar Tree buys extras off of other companies and sells them at a reduced price. Its the same products you would buy at Wal-Mart or wherever you may shop. See, other companies buy extra stuff and get back logged. So, instead of waiting for it to sit there and expire, they sell it cheap to Dollar Tree and they inturn sell it for a dollar. Everything eles was made cheaply and is sold cheaply. Like pots and pans and the bras and panties and some other stuff. When I go shopping, I go to Dollar Tree first to see if I can get it there. If not, Wally World!

I won't buy milk there, as I am super picky about where I buy that. I don't like rotten milk.

Just about anything else is fair game though. Our town just opened a dollar general here last week . This is huge news considering you couldn't buy mosquito repellant here for years. No one sold it. The only other store we've gotten in 14 years was a little privately owned grocery store. So a Dollar store is huge!

edited because my mind is really somewhere else today

Okay, not all the stuff is great, but the majority is fine. Last night I ran into Dollar Tree to get some tissue paper to wrap up my cookie cutters, and picked up a bag of candy, the soft type, like peppermints, BUT, they were not peppermints!!

Well, I won't buy the imitation SPAM again, I like SPAM, but the dollar store version tastes like what comes out of a chicken's butt, and I ain't talking eggs here. On the other hand, when I was taking my Son (a few years ago) to his first Rock Concert, I stopped at the dollar store to buy them out on the cheap bead necklaces I gave to my Son for "concert supplies" as Mardi Gras beads ($20.00 worth) "What do I need these for, Dad?" " Don't worry son, you'll find a use for them and don't tell your Mother" ----------His first Rock Concert went well, can't post the photos here!---------
