WHAT YA GOT SWAP Chat Thread

I found out today that I am allergic to nearly everything. I have to go on a special diet. The silver lining is that probably most of my multiple illnesses this year were caused by allergies.
I had the one of the worst reactions to allergy testing that the whole office has ever seen since I am allergic to so many things. They had to give me benadryl, zyrtec, a steroid shot, and an inhaler, cuz, oh yeah, I was diagnosed with asthma too.
I am really very bummed right now and don't feel well from all the allergens I was exposed to, could take days for symptoms to go away.
Sorry and FYI I won't be complaining about all this stuff after this post because I know it's a bummer when people do that. I just need some time to absorb all this. Most likely what you'll "hear" me say is something about starving to death because of this strict and very limited diet!
Love ya'll,
Patricia AKA The Cashew

ps, and YES I am allergic to eggs, feathers, dogs, cats, and horses along with a ton of other things.
Well, we can start a club. I was told I should be a bubble baby, in other words I should be living in pure air bubble because I have allergies to lots and lots of stuff. Thankfully, no food allergies. After years of shots and meds, I stopped the shots and meds and deal with the allergies on a day by day basis. I try to stay away from some of the things that really set me off (mold) but I will not give up my animals. I just don't cuddle them on my bad days. I do truly feel for you because unless someone has walked in the shoes they can't understand how awful it can be. There are truly days where it is hard to function. I hope the meds help gets yours under control.

Yeah, they have a whole regimen of shots 2-5 years, planned for me, along with this Caveman Diet and food challenge to find the culprits and their symptoms. I am really glad that I finally have an answer as I have been to many doctors this year-none of which recommended or suggested that all these problems could be allergies!!!

Anyway!!! PAULETTA!!!!! Thank you for the swap items and the awesome Girl Army Bear & baseball! SO cute!! She's going to flip when she gets home from work!
Love you girl!!!

"Land Combat Missile Repairer" is the job she chose, still has to go to MEPS, pass and sign for it though.

I'm going to bed, I got 2 hours of sleep last night with all the meds they gave me and the symptoms and stuff.

Have you seen any foam in there cage yet. Maybe it is still too young to sex them. Once you start seeing foam or someone lays an egg you can start sexing. Sometimes it takes a little longer than 6 weeks.

AHHH!!! Meanypants!!! :p

I really do hope I am wrong. Honestly I don't want to hatch anymore of them this year. I'd much rather just enjoy the ones I have now, so cute. I love the little noises they make.

She can do anything she wants when she finishes her tour. Plus she had to score a 102 on the EL portion of the test. Which is next to impossible. You have one SMART girl there. Congrats!!!! I hope she got a hugh bonus for that critical MOS and 20, 000.00 - 30, 000.00 for college?

I've already lost 2 lbs since Monday. I went to lunch with my mom today. I had a plain spinach salad with grilled chicken and lemon juice s&p for dressing, she had a Greek hamburger with the works and fries! I'm allergic to everything on the plate except the hamburger patty!!

Thank you, yes she scored high on each portion. The sargents @ the office had never seen 6 of the 8 jobs that pulled up! She loves the idea of airborne, which is required for this job. She goes in as E3 since she has her associate's degree already. Skipped 4th grade. Just turned 19 in Feb. My girl!

Holly Molly! That's awesome. She is definately high speed.

Just a thought but why did she not go in as an officer? Don't be suprised when she makes E5/Sergeant that they will ask her to become a Warrant Officer. Which will double her pay.
