WHAT YA GOT SWAP Chat Thread

I found out today that I am allergic to nearly everything. I have to go on a special diet. The silver lining is that probably most of my multiple illnesses this year were caused by allergies.
I had the one of the worst reactions to allergy testing that the whole office has ever seen since I am allergic to so many things. They had to give me benadryl, zyrtec, a steroid shot, and an inhaler, cuz, oh yeah, I was diagnosed with asthma too.
I am really very bummed right now and don't feel well from all the allergens I was exposed to, could take days for symptoms to go away.
Sorry and FYI I won't be complaining about all this stuff after this post because I know it's a bummer when people do that. I just need some time to absorb all this. Most likely what you'll "hear" me say is something about starving to death because of this strict and very limited diet!
Love ya'll,
Patricia AKA The Cashew

however, if you haven't felt very allergic to stuff before, remember the strenght of allergies can ( to some extent) wax and wain. So if your immune system is going haywire from other sicknesses too, you can be more susceptible to this stuff. I hope your new diet makes you feel better! I'm not telling you to go out and eat stuff once you feel better, but its worth remembering the way ti is now dosn't have to be the way it is always.

PS also might look into some macrobiotic cookbooks, for a lot of people who are allergic to many many things, that's a good way to go. And at least they have a lot of those out there for when you get stumped about what to do whit the things you can eat...

Thanks! Yes, they told me some stuff concerning the things your said in the first paragraph as well as some literature. It's a strict whole foods diet that I'm just trying to get a handle on. Thank you.

I'm sorry dearest Cashew (

If there is anything you need, just ask. You know I always have two good ears to listen to rants, raves, cries, and anything else you want to throw my way.

You Have some cute babies crazypetlady
I second that! I have some Seramas and MF D'uccles also from Rachael that are adorable. They are the first ones everyone wants to see when they come over. Of course they also want to buy them from me and I have to "gently" explain that they are MINE, ALL MINE!!!! Now I am looking forward to hatching one of those delightful little chocolates
