Guess what? We moved to this property about a year ago and there were already two RVs sitting out behind the "barns"

Eggs-actly! I think most of us started out with chickens just for some fresh eggs or meat and then the addiction begins

Ha ha ha!!! I never realized there were so many chicken hoarders out there. Maybe we should start a CA (Chickens Anonymous) group on here.

LOL we may need CA lol I have 14 chicks , 12 9 week olds and 2 2 week olds as well as two bators with eggs in them 13 Jumbo brown quail , 4 bob white quail 1 button quail and a single chukar . All in a 2 bedroom apartment with a kid and a cat

If I dont need CA and IA I dont know who does

Though in my defense it was only sapose to be 3 to 4 serama and a few jumbo browns but people fell thru

and just cuase she is cute

Ok, I have to ask, Where are you gonna put the chickens when they grow up if you live in an apartment. I am sure the neighboors will just love you with all of that crowing going on.

well I youtube'd what a serama roo sounds like crowing and decided that its about as loud as a typical caged bird such as a small parrot ( those guys can screech with the intesaty of a fire engine no joke my mom had a quaker parrot and they are fairly quite as these things go and he was LOUD.) So I want 2 or 3 hens maybe and a little roo figure the smaller the better right , smaller vocal cords. And honestly I didnt ask , the owner dosnt like people haveing cats and wont allow dogs but he knows I have the chicks and that im trying to find homes for most of them and he hasnt said a word about it , he vetoed the chicken coop outside though , Ill keep working on him. These guys are gonna be house chickens. I researched it , on here on other sites read books checked some out from the libary ect. The consensus is that chickens like being out side and haveing room but they can live without it some breeds do better then others and aperntly seramas are one of them. I am getting them little chicken diapers and will find a way for them to get out side time and bugs and stuff . They will be spoiled and hopefully the male will have a small cute crow

It is the reason I freaked out when everyone basiclly backed out that said they were takeing chicks though and why a very lucky women is getting 2 EE s , 2 MF D's , 1 SFH , 1 NJ , 1 serama and 2 cochin mixes for 10 bucks , cuase she is the only one willing to come take them , everyone else is under the impression that the single car less mother of a special needs child should magiclly be able to drive half way across the state to bring them the birds cuase there doing me a favor takeing them or something

I guess I will be sticking to game birds that you can grow out and proccess in 8-10 weeks cuase I have a person that will take all those. I really love hatching though. You guys that sale chicks after hatching them have to give me the low down on how you do it cuase it didnt work so well for me even though I set up at least 5 people that said they wanted them befor I set a single egg.
