suggestions needed,,,,use to have a hawk problem so we left weeds grow in a quarter of the run, have not lost a bird to hawks since, it is great cover for them....but the problem now is the tick population,,,,,any suggestions...here is a pick of the weeds, ignore the turkeys they are just nosy.
Get some Guineas and your ticks will be gone (but so will your sanity)

Yes, he is bad.... But a great alarm clock in the morning to wake up and get my kids up for school.

But, since he was a bad boy him and his girls are grounded to the peacock coop until my garden is done.

Then they will be ungrounded and allowed back out to free range.

I have a chick that is spraddle legged and i'm having to hand feed it. I really don't want to loose this little one. I'm mixing chick starter with water so I can spoon feed it and i'm putting a tiny drop of poly vi sol in it. Hoping the vitamins will help with the leg issue. Any thing else I can do?

use a bandaid (vet wrap is better if you have it) to tape the legs so the feet are underneath. Put something under it that is not slippery. I raise my babies on burlap. Their little claws catch on it and they can stand.

How old is this baby?

Hope this isn't a dumb question- have you tried a band aid splint? My chick with spraddled leg from my last hatch was a whole new chick when I put on a band aid splint.
