I am beginning my plantings at this house now. Feel free to recommend anything you'd like to pilfer after if gets established, that is a strong grower for zone 8b. I have a field for wild flowers and no beds put in yet so a blank slate.

So I gotta tell you guys, I had a great day yesterday and I was thinking I was going to get the pigeons, I am fairly sure they lady backed out of the deal though. She is too afraid to tell me... so shes just ignoring me....

So this is what I wanted to say: I had a few and by few I mean 7 regular ducks and 6 call ducks hatch out over a month ago... well get this, all but two of the reg, were MINE. I have 4 pekins 4 rouen projects and 2 swedish rouen mixes, none of which are crested and never out of the HUGE number of eggs I have hatched have I had a crested hatch. I checked this swedish lookin dude when it hatched and it looked like it had a small teenie crest so I touched it and it just felt like his fizz was funny, now a month later I look and I am like WOAH that is a crest! Pick him up and sure enough.... i have a stinkin crested duck... WHAT THE HECK! LOL

I am guessing it is some miraculous throwback or genetic whoops... CRAZY! Oh well.... thought I would share that OH and I have a Mille Fluer Cochin baby from my mystery swap last month that hatched this mornin and the other two should be too, I helped the fella out once he was about halfway zipped, I just finished zippin for him, the air cells were so wonky.... glad that he made it, dont know how he is right now, totally forgot i had a baby when I got home from up town I had to do some shoppin this mornin and was distracted with making three batches of soap for the etsy shop when I got back...
