Take care of yourself, Bea! It is easy to get caught up in the caregiving for everyone else, but if you wind up hospitalized you can't help anyone including yourself.

x2!!! I see it happen way too often to people who are caring for others and then they get sick, too... take care of yourself!!

We had a chicken tragedy this morning... My dogs have been really good with the chickens lately. I have been going out to do chores in the morning and letting the whole pack into the barn where my young Spitzhauben crosses and my 3 young EE's hang out. They have been interested, but call off of them really easily. Once or twice, when a chicken really runs from them or makes a fuss, they will chase it a bit, but still come right back to me as soon as I call them.

This morning, I left the barn chores for the kids because I had to get to work. 3 of the dogs ganged up on one of my original black Australorps and did too much damage before the kids could stop them. She died in my daughter's arms. She is devastated... I'm probably going to have to have a chicken funeral when I get home. I don't think there is any way I could convince my kids to let me cook this bird. Not sure I would want to either. Her name was Sisu... She was a good girl...

Oh, so sorry!! It's really hard when it's one that has a name...

All I could think of is.... "You might be a redneck....."

You guys have always been great support here, I don't want to worry my family so I can't talk to them. I had a mammogram and they called this morning and said there was an area of concern and I need to see the radiologist tomorrow for further testing. I am about to go out of my mind. Anyone have this and it turn out ok?

Thoughts and Prayers... that it is nothing to be concerned about.

I've had that call and the worry that goes with it. Luckily, for me, it was only a benign cyst. Hoping and praying that it is nothing more than that for you.

Debi, Here's another hug for you!
......can talking Araucanas change your "mind channel"? How soon can I sex my BBS chick? The Icelandic hen raising it has "weaned" it and I will be cornering it and taking a close look at it. Any clues to look for?

I have about 15 years ago at age 35. It turned out to be a cyst, and I was diagnosed with fibrocystic breasts. I had to have an ultrasound done and at yearly mammograms I have to remind them every time they try to get it redone that they need to look at previous results.
