Cammie- you have my sympathies w/ plantar fasciitis. I do wear inserts and it helps some. Steroid injections have been helpful for short periods if you can afford it. We haven't been able to lately...we have always been poor so the economy crash doesn't affect us as much as some. Never did have a credit card or lots of debt other than student loans. Feeding kids is where I see my money go and I don't know about ya'll but the price of food is getting ridiculous!!!

I know, the price of everything goes up but the pay stays the same. I just don't shop unless I have to.

I finally made a swap page!

I have heard the injections work good for awhile, but my dad use to have get those shots and it gave him cataracts. I guess you fix one thing and cause another

I have been poor most of my life, except about 10 years of it. Once I graduate, I am hoping that my husband can retire since he has almost 10 years on me and his jobs are physical labor. He is a hard worker though, and never complains. Works 6 days a week, and then works on side jobs after work and on Sundays. I'll enjoy getting to let him take it easy. He has always done his best to provide for us.

I tell you what I really like to fix and it's cheap. Fried rice and some kind of cheap meat sliced really thin. A little soy sauce or sweet/sour and I am good to go. Tonight it's Tuna Sandwiches, but we all like them. My favorite though, is potato soup with caramelized onions and carrots, yummy! We always try to eat really cheap, and fix things that we can have left overs with.

Food is getting ridiculous. They scream eat healthy, but not everyone can afford the healthy food. I guess the healthiest food we fix is: A sirloin tip roast, cut into small strips sauteed onions, bell peppers and mushrooms. It's really good. A sirloin roast will last us for 2 days, and they run around $10. Total we probably spend maybe $20 and it makes two meals. So, that isn't too bad.

I am posting DC #s for my side swaps here. I hope that is ok.

School was supposed to start back 2 days ago...delayed to next Wednesday due to more rain and washed out roads and bridges.

Yup, I may walk funny but I walk. I do find that exercise helps but you have to be careful how much and not push your feet too much. I am hoping that losing weight with this exercise will help too. I am not huge but I could lose some and the less weight on your feet the better.
Yes, healthier and cheaper don't exactly go together but we are trying to eat healthier. Raising our own meat is a help in the health dept. anyway, though not exactly cheap. I make lots of casseroles, quiches, soups and roasts(pork roast goes on sale here quite often).

I hear you all on the money trouble. I forgot to mention I do not have insurance so my stress/echo I'll be having in october will be all my responsibility. I should get insurance in december but until then I'm on my own. THen I wonder what they will say if something would be found on the stress/echo. Will insurance then say it is preexisting and not cover it? ARGHHH it just never ends.
