Ugh, that stinks! Sorry you had such a bad experience

Maybe you can find some that are either free or low cost to attend next time.

Sorry for your bad experiences, Reese and Anderson.....

I have 2 Iowa blue chicks from Mr. Heinz, but I am having a difficult time figuring out which ones are which.

Any help? One is a silvery blue, but I have five others that look alike-3 black Orps, and a black from Reese. I don't see another blue, but I know it hatched from a IA blue egg.

Iowa Blue are black when they hatch with a little yellow. They actually are not blue at all. I'll see if I can find a picture of one.

Found one
A new chick (They may also appear chipmunk colored.)

This is what they look like grown up.

In a couple of hours I will be lurking for more eggs to hatch.

first incubator was junk, I've got a good one now.

I'm sorry to hear about everybody's hatching/incubator problems.

I had that issue this summer. A few still hatched. Best of luck with with the ones still going.

I would like to ask if anyone has ever had a rotten egg in their incubator. I have been hatching for over 13 years and I never had a bad (rotten) egg. I received a shipment of eggs I paid quite a bit for and in 3 days of incubating 2 are already rotten

I think I was sent a bad batch of old eggs. I can't even imagine what shipping could do to make them rotten. I could sit my eggs out for 4 weeks and they would not be rotten. Do you think that shipping could do this to eggs?
