Sorry to hear about your dog.

I hope she turns up soon.

Animals have amazing instincts for finding a warm place to hold up when the weather gets bad. Don't give up hope yet.

ps - If weather is good enough eggs are going out tomorrow, just too darn cold to ship today.

My Dh has been keeping bees for 5 or 6 years. I think he is up to 25 or 26 hives now, although we will see how many make it through the winter. There is nothing better than honey that comes out of your own backyard!

What a beautiful print.

Can't wait to start keeping our own bees, we were ready this past year but it just didn't work out. We have a really nice garden and lots of fruit beds and trees.

We have hives in four different locations, three of them within a couple miles (as the bee flies) of each other. What amazes me is you can taste a difference in the honey pulled from each location. Our "Homestead Honey", pulled from the hives behind our house, is my and my customers' favorite - a very complex wildflower honey.

Before anyone asks, our honey is gone for this year (except for our private stash, of course!). It wasn't a very good year due to the heat, and all of it was sold before we even got it bottled. But next year, God willing, I will be sure to put aside a couple of bottles for the WYGS!

Mine...if you offer honey!
