Reese I wanted you to know that I had an amazing surprise today. I thought all of the LF cochin eggs you sent were goners.. Took 4 out at LD and left two that I thought for sure were going to blow up in the bator in, to my surprise they both hatched today!!!

There is one that looks black and the other a very light blue, will get pics when they are in full fluff to share with you, what a little blessing.

I just candled yours yesterday and had to toss them all the serama and the Silkies. The post office took care of them for me again.

PS... How can I tell if these are cockerels or pullets? One of the BR crosses has a white spot on the back of his/her head, and the other doesn't. I'm assuming that will tell me but I'm not sure exactly what it means.

Spot=male, I believe

depends. If the hens are barred and the rooster is not then the ones with the spot are males, they will turn out to be barred. Thats what black sex links are. If the rooster is barred then its all up in the air.

Darlene I got a medium flat rate box packed with bags, there are 10 or 11, I can't remember. My mother took some to cover her little avocado trees, so they wouldn't freeze, i'd take them back but she slit them up to let the plants could breathe...tisk tisk tisk. Nat I got yours boxed up too, I decided to send you a roll of bubble wrap too, thought you'd be able to use it and i needed cushion for the dvds. I hope to get everything out today, but I might loose steam and crash. I tried to get some sleep but it just wasn't coming and I have to work today 2pm-11pm. My new job is sooo easy, I'm basically going to school for 5 weeks and getting paid, love it!

Hey! I'm thinking about joining the what ya got swap! But I hate to do it if I don't have anything anyone wants! Pretty much all I have right now is handmade organic soap. I have about 15-20 different scents, though. I make big bars, at least 4oz each. Would anyone be interested in those if I joined the swap?
