Does anyone else have to keep thier baby chicke seramas aways from the others.  I say babies. They are 4 weeks old (were) and a few of them let everyone squish them to death last night. And one of the had thier feather pecked off.  What is that about?  The coop is easy 65-70 even in the middle of the night.  And they have more than enough room, I only have 13 in that space. It's 3 ft X 8 foot. Is that too small for small chicks?  I am glad I keep the even smaller one in the house.  I was hoping to keep them in the coop for 2 more weeks. But now I am not sure.

I keep bantams in their own little fish tank for at least a week so they don't get smushed. Then I put them in their own brooder.

Thank you. I have got them all seperate now. SO sad. And they silkies are aggressive. Not mean just pushy. Everyone has to move out of thier way when they come struting by.. Time to finish building coops I guess.

Pauletta, I have my young seramas run with my bantam and LF chicks. I have a group right now and have Thanksgiving seramas with Christmas LF and bantams which includes silkies and all seem to be fine. I have four week olds together all the way down to two day olds and my seramas seem to adapt just fine to fitting in, they are tough little boogers.

Got this little guy tonight. So I made him a hammock out of some fleece fabric I got from Pauletta ( 202roosterlane), Saved me $22 making my own and only took me 10 mins. He was born Dec. 11th 2011.

Oh, he is adorable! I want one so bad, or a de-scented skunk, but hubby is firmly against it.

Awww.... I LOVE Ferrets. I used to have Ferrets. They are soo funny. The dogs I have now....would have no problem killing them, so no Ferrets.

@Bhep, I separated them because this is the 4th I have lost. Mine we just not aggressive enough to keep others from piling on them. And the other are kinda smaller. I think they thought the seramas made great blanket and pillow. I have 3 left I promised a friend for his son. My hatch was not hugh these last few days but I am happy either way.

Sorry it took so long to put on here. Redoing wood floors in living room and my house looks like a tornado hit it. Some of ya'll may get them in today's mail I hope. Mail seems to be running faster these days. Have a great morning everyone...
