Not taking time to read all the posts since yesterday..wondering if Kimisfishing is okay?? Branson was hit hard last night. OUr place too. half the roof on the shop is gone, the huge 12x12 door was destroyed. Our house is off the foundation 3' and the big chicken coop fell over. I lost 2 buckeyes and have 1 missing. a cat is missing too. I think it was a microburst. No one has been here yet to tell us. our neighbors single wide mobile home rolled several times, they were trapped for about half an hour, but all are okay - just scratches and bruises. No injuries here, just lots of frayed nerves. There were 14 electric poles snapped in half within a 1/2 mile of us, just got electric and internet back half an hour ago. We couldn't do much today because the winds were still too high, we did get some of the downed trees cleaned up but still lots of limbs. Oh and a tree fell on my car, only smashed the hood and a limb went through the window. Whew, that looks much worse than I mean to make it, it's all repairable or replaceable other than my baby chickens...oh and I lost all the eggs in the incubator I'm sure, they were to go on lock down today. I did find someone to take my 2 wk babies and take care of them but the 30 eggs was a bit much to beg someone to hatch, no one I know incubates. Oh, crap I'm feeling lots of guilt letting those babies die....sorry needed to vent to some who understand how upset I am about my birds.

Oh my! So glad that you and yours are okay, but my heart goes out to you for the loss of your animals. I hope that clean up and fixing does not take long and that it is not stressful for you. Wish I were closer to help. We used to be not far from there in Overland Park. We still have many friends in the area.

On a side note, if you have power and are in a position to let those eggs continue to incubate you may be surprised and some still hatch, I've seen it happen.

I am find. No damage and all the chickens are good. I had a * friend* here since the storm and it has been stressfull.....long story buit they are gone now and time for bed. Has anyone heard form zzgypsy? She is in this too.

Wow.... Gone for a while trying to get all my sewing done for the craft show this Saturday and all the bad news hits. It hit us at 6 this morning. Just flooded bad here. So glad everyone is okay.

On another note. I got 18 Tote bags and 19 towels ready for the craft show. I have 6 aprons so far but need to make more. I still have to make the soap yet. But I got my canned goods ready. Trying to hopefully make some money this weekend for all my expense's I have spent. Maybe then I can start swapping again. It was in the 60's here today. That storm brought nice warm weather for today and was much appreciated.

Anderson8505: I haven't forgotten about your quail eggs. They have stopped laying but should start back up soon. They take breaks once in a while and get back to it within a week or two.
