Who here has an Etsy shop? Also do you do any good with it. I know it cost a good penny to list stuff. Just wondering if it is worth it.

I did before the big change over when they redid everything and made it more "social". It's very hard to get noticed there because the site is enormous and searching for things can give you tens of thousands of choices. You have to do a whole lot of promoting of yourself to get views. I switched to Artfire which I liked better. Their pricing is a flat fee rather than the nickle and diming that Etsy does.

And no, I didn't do well enough with either to make it worth my time. It became a full time part time job and sucked all the joy out of creating. A ton of people do really well though and there are plenty of fabulous sucess stories out there. Just not for me. I"m an artist, not a businesswoman!

Fast question, that might have already been covered, (if so forgive me) does it matter who we ship the items out with? As long as we provide a tracking number. Hubbie works at FedEx, so I feel a bit stupid at the moment. It dawned on me this morning after he left for work I could prolly use his discount and just send stuff with him .
