I was reading through the swaps here and im so tempted by some of the eggs but like I said, eggs from ebay ended up being a huge waste of money for me. also all I have to offer would be RSL eggs, 2nd generation so not color sexed but still dern good layers but i dont think there is any interest there :/

I understand. Check your local thread for local chicks! Check the incubators anonymous for hatching tips for shipped eggs. What type of incubator do you have?
And hang out here because we are fun :)

Hey guys im fairly new here (from a different poultry forum actually) and I was wondering if anyone ever trades day old babies especially with it being that time of year. I've done hatching eggs but ive had bad luck with mailed eggs. I ordered over $150 worth of eggs off ebay and had disastrous results - but ive hatched tons of my own babies from my flock with no problems.

You know a whole thread dedicated to trading chicks with each other might be a good thing.

Yes and yes!
French (Feather leg1-2 ) Black copper marans.
They were laying sporadicly and the color was very dark but now that Thet are starting to lay every 1-2 days they have lightened some. That is typical and makes them easier to hatch!
It should be fbcm .

Thank you!!

I'm "patiently" waiting for your eggs to come back up on the swap thread!!!

:)

Ramps are wild onions. It's kind of a big deal here. We even have a ramp festival. I usually cook them with fried potatoes. And yes Chiqita, I love fiddleheads also. Ramps come up in early spring with the Molly mochers (moral mushrooms). I can spend all day in the woods during spring. I had to get new tires on my 4-wheeler last week so I can get to my patches.
Morels?!!!
Do you pick and dry them? If so I'd LOVE to do a swap for some!
