ok, lets say i'm B and A gets my bananas for her apples, then C comes along and wants bananas, but i sent all my bananas to A, so theres no trade between B and C, but C and D can still have their trade, right? Then on the off chance that nobody wants donuts, then 6 hours later D would come back and modify her offer with...Danishes.

A does not get your bananas as A has taken the previous offer from someone we will call X. Think of it as an ongoing chain A offers B takes A's and offers items, C takes B's and offers items, D takes C's and offers items, etc. Did that clear it up?
