Got my surprise cookies today from Krstms.
Oh my are they yummy...... Love them. They won't last long here with 6 of us.

Post office did a horrible job with them. Most were crushed but eatable.

Well know I did it. never in my life have I broke anything until tonight. I was out taking care of the chickens and this one rooster was beating the crap out of the other so I tried to boot it ( I know stupid) I ended up booting the Oak wall. You can guess what happened next yeah...... I ended up on the ground. I broke My big toe and index toe on my right foot. Hurts like H#@#!!!! Needless to say now I am out of comission with getting my stuff done before winter hits. Yeah me.

Got the rest of my eggs today. Was going to take out the last unhatched Coturnix (after waiting 4 days) only to find a little sleepy eyed baby peeking out at me. Guess I will start the other incubator and give these guys a little more time.

Were those from me? How did they do? I just love baby quail, I had a single one hatch today too! I built the frame for a duplex quail pen today.

ooo, sorry about the toe michelle, i'm a baby, i stubbed my baby toe a few weeks ago and i thought i was going to die.

Hey Deb, you black astrolorps, do they feather out slowly? I have 3 of them, 1 is feathering out just like all the other breeds, but the other 2 only got their first set of wing feathers, their tail feathers and the next row of feathers on their wings just aren't sprouting. They're the only 2 stragglers.

Maybe they are roosters, they get feathers slower.
