I did not experience any pain either... 10-15 minute procedure, 2 hours of tearing ( a good thing, to help eyes heal) and I was out to dinner that night. Looking at everything with my NEW EYES !!

Cost was $1200, $600.00 each eye in 02. Used credit care, paid off in 1 year, no interest.

I was considering Lasik way back when so the optometrist gave me a video of the procedure. That was enough for me to decide to never do it and I still get squirmy whenever I have to use a vegetable peeler. (That's what the surgical tool basically does to your eye)

*edited to say, wait! maybe that was the radial keratomywhatever....

No internet or phone all day today

okay, so I didn't miss the phone ringing, but I was not happy to be missing swaps LOL now that it is back I have to leave for play practice.

On the bright side it was another 65 degree day, so we enjoyed time outside more than normal and so did the birds.

O.k. here is a group shot of Emvicks silkies, five of six hatched.

Are these all partridge or something else? I see one for sure that is partridge, three solid dark and one spotted. Emvick - where are you!!!

Mine were supposed to be black, blue, or splash-two were clear, and the other two were partridge. Yes, you got one partridge, three blacks, and the other looks almost like a paint?

Watched the series and got aggravated that it is so different.
But this little guy has Mr. Northman's attitude.
I have 2 black hens named Sookie & Tara.

Any light chicks you get are from the two hens that have the most gold color to them. Their chicks turn out to be what I was told is buff partridge. The dark one is from the blue partridge Fancy Pants. She's the one that won BV. The stripes in both colors will show up in a few days.

Emvick - my partridge silkies are starting to hatch, so far two out. However.... one is yellow with a few dark spots and the other solid black, any thoughts???

Well, I will have a bunch of new stuff on my swap page by Sunday. My daughter is moving out soon and is going through all of her things. There is a stack of items by my desk to go through. Anyone have kids into Manga? Tons of Shojo Beat magazines from past years is just one stack I have to process.

These are some I hatched out in August and are here on the property. I like the darker ones better myself.
