Oh Emvick sorry for your troubles and I can sooo relate. I within the last couple of months sold some eggs on ebay myself, well the buyer happens to be someone who is here on byc and seems to do a ton of sell ads themselves. They did purchase two auctions (for 6 eggs each), I did send 8 extra eggs. All arrived in great condition according to buyer. So I get an email the other day stating that none of them developed and they can only assume they were all infertile and wanted to know what I was going to do to rectify the matter.... REALLY?!?!?

I immediately starting cracking eggs open and guess what I find, yeap fertile eggs!!!  That person being someone that represents themselves as a breeder surely has to know the risk of shipped eggs right? Did none really make it?? (I ask myself that when something like this comes up)  I have hatched from the very same birds this person received eggs from with excellent rates this spring, too many in fact.

The sad part for sellers is that there just isn't a good place to sell anymore. :/

I hate that!!! That is why I never turned to ebay!!! That's the same STUPID IDIOTIC thing people say all the time! When are folks going to get it through their thick skulls that shipping alone can ruin the eggs fertility!!! I hope that ding bat sees this too! Its the chance you take on shipped eggs!!! Ive gotten hundreds of eggs in the last 4 years that did norhing! I expect nothing in return..lesson learned andnthen I get more
No refund Henthymes! I have your chicks to prove fertility! Lol maybe it was her bator..how long did they sit for!!?? The heat in those mail cars alone would cook them on a 100 degree day! Once they leave your hands its out of your control unless otherwise stated in the auction!

When someone leaves me an unjust feedback I don't do anything. They should have let me know there was a problem in the 1st place. They have also screwed them self with e-bay because if they leave negative feedback without attempting to contact you then they have no recourse to get their money back and you don't have to deal with them anymore you can block them. I just let all the good feedback speak for itself. I hate dealing with horrible people on e-bay and I sell there a lot.

I went to ebay because sales here wheren't going well and I was having to toss eggs. I depend on egg sales to buy feed for the chickens. If I can't break even i'll have to sell my chickens and i've just bought all those SQ silkies from Bobbi Porto. I'm not giving up just yet. My birds tend to lay more in cooler weather so this hot weather has most of them on vacation. But I still have to buy feed.

I usually don't worry about feedback because I rarely have a problem but this person claimed I sent rotten eggs and that just isn't true. Nor is the accusation that I didn't pack the eggs well. I don't ship eggs that are older than 4 days unless the buyer says they'll take them. My last box I sent, my grandson wanted to help and when I came back from getting my packing supplies he had put all the eggs in one flat. Some of those where 2 days past my 4 day rule. I notified the buyer and they're getting 35 eggs instead of 12.

I put an egg in minnow traps and they sit outside in the heat. It's taken 2 weeks in the heat before the eggs rot and bust. (a little experiment I did)

Hatching eggs are always a gamble though. I just love it when people say they aren't fertile.

I know for a fact you ship your eggs very well I got some from you they were all packaged really well I think I still have pictuers even




My hatch rate wasnt as good as I have like but that had nothing to do with your packageing or your eggs they were awsome. But once they left your hands and sat in a building then in various trucks and ran on convayerbelts ect then got to me and had my newbish issues with my bators and everything getting close to 20 jumbo brown out of the 50 eggs I think is pretty dang good and I ended up with like 12 or so bobwhites out of the 20 eggs and I remmber ever single bob white egg started growing .. Its not your fualt between the po and my horrible stryo bators that some didnt make it. There are people on ebay that have A. Unrealistic expectations or / and B. Have learned to use the system to get double product or product and refunds and they do it becuase they can. Im sorry your sales havent been great Hopefully things pick up for you soon.

Thank you everyone! You know what really burns my rear is that this person is on BYC and sells them self and I believe way more than my occasional listings. If I were in the business to sell bad eggs I wouldn't be in business long, I am also not in business to give free eggs over and over again especially if they are shipped. The point if for people to be happy, want to come back and want to tell their friends. Yes I get dudes in the mail too and go right back out and get more, oh love being a chicken junkie!!

Ouch when did my chicks learn to peck so dang hard dang .. And I cant have them anywhere near my face cuase they keep trying to steal my nose jewlery OUCH .. not to mention Im guessing swallowing a gemmed stud isnt good for chickie health
