@ Happy hens I too am sorry about your doggie. I lost my sissy in May and we still look for her in her normal chillin spots. She was always by our side. Big hugs

@ DMCCANN - I have several I am adding to the silent auction (fund raiser) they are having in October.

Rachael (Crazypetlady) gave me some adorable pet costumes for the auction as well that should be a big hit!

Yup our visit was amazing. We did run into interstae road construction 3 times. The last one made us sit on the interstate for almost an hour. We lost five 3 week old chicks and 6 juvies. All FBCM.
But I think there were still 17 that made it just fine. Yup the Big FBCM roo is a big ole boy. But he is a lover not a fighter LOL... I'm guessing 8-10 pounds.

I love, love, love Ridgeville and Portland, IN. Such lovely green farm country. We are so dry in Arkansas. The farmers are having a real tough time. Oh my goodness, this morning we saw a lot of Amish families on horse and buggy. Just amazing. I love going through Amish country and shopping. Everything is always so clean and pretty. Gonna see if we come back through this way on the way home, we HAVE to stop and see Heather (Babymakes6).
Rachael has some amazing chickens!!!!!!!!!!!! You know pictures never do justice. Whooo and the babies, babies, babies. Oh all those colors. She has a really nice chicken set up. It was an amazing visit. I am really tickled to have gotten to meet Rachael and Charles.

I know my chickens are super tickled with thier new home. Now it's off to the Antique motorcycle Association Meet in Wauseon.

Jim - I think the 2 Ameracaunas are girls (Yay!). We hatched 2 of your cochins also. One is most defintely a roo, but we are undecided on this one. Its comb just started turning red, otherwise it has been light. It is 4.5 months old.

My DD named her Daisy; so its probably a roo since everything she names ends up as a roo.

Look what I got today. I got him for $50 off of Craigslist. He is 2 1/2 yrs old. Now I need a peahen for him.
