O.k. Sonew, I have to ask.... what the heck girls to do you have that lay the MASSIVE brown eggs - I WANT ONE!!! They are bigger than even my giant orp girls. Just stuck the eggs in LD, only one green and two brown made it this far.

No kidding. My bator has a rack to put LF eggs and then you slide this metal thingy under it to turn the eggs. Anyway the eggs are too big to be next to each other I had to alternate brown green brown so they would fit. I guess they didn't have eggs that big 70 years ago when that bator was built. Wouldn't it figure I NEVER used that scale and today I needed to weigh some Seramas, lol. I just took them up to the office to weigh on the postage scale.

Mine too! Huge, they hatched out some really cute chicks! Can't wait to see what they look like when they get a little bigger, and hope they lay huge eggs too!

Awww you girls are making me smile..theybare birchen marans that lay those eggs!!! I LOOOVE those eggs..HUGE and so beautiful!!! Fitting them in bator?? Try fitting them in a carton after bubble wrapping!!! Good grief
