It wouldn't be so bad if you could afford to just buy alot of screens and just reuse then with the emulsion sheet that the image is burned on already. But after about 10 uses it starts getting ragged and you have to reburn another one. But if you just buy a bunch of shirts and whatever else you plan to print and just do it all at once then sell them it is worth the money. I used up what I bought when I bought the machine mostly practicing. Then when I was going to print a bunch of shirts and totes I bought a bunch of emulsions and transparencies and a few more screens and platens for kids shirts. I tried and tried for several days to get what I wanted to put on them to burn on the emulsions and it just wouldn't burn. I had 1 transparency sheet left from before and I used that and the image burned on the emulsion so it's the transparencies that aren't any good. I think they may be too shiny.I wish I knew. Wow, I was going to buy one of those YUDUs I am glad I didn't. With that price I couldn't afford to use it.
I planned to have our farm name and logo on the front of shirts and totes and on the back the logo and websites and contact info. I just have the logo image. Oh another thing that wears out the emulsions is you can't let the paint dry on the screen. It will ruin it so washing the ink off is what eventually messes up the emulsion.
I'm not about to try to return any of the transparencies that I got that aren't the right ones. It took them 3 months to get me my order and they have no way to contact them. There is an email address but they don't answer any messages. Very bad business practice.
