So That is 15 out of 67656 users that have a problem with Katy.
I feel that Katy speaks what is on her mind and doesn't candy coat her words. I believe more people should do the same instead of giving false hope on what there breed may or may not be..

It sounds weird, but it actually has been called that. I meant barred cochin, but someone actually said, either in this forum or another, that it was called not barred cochin, but barred ROCK cochin. lol

I have a crazy cross, but he does not have a completely barred or cuckoo look. Well here is a pic so you can see what I mean. I know his dad is a EE but not sure which one, and his mother is either my BSL or BSL X GSL (both should have the ability to produce barred chicks I think).
Pic is not the best but he is so quick.

I'm not sure how strong the muff genes are, but I think if you breed with a barred breed. Then use selective breeding, and you might get your own line. This would take time but possible I think, but the way I gather it (from what I can research from the internet) the likelihood of having green egg would be slim to none, and of having blue eggs even less. I don't think egg color has been researched much. If you pursue it Good Luck.
If you bred them to a normal Dominique or Barred Rock, you still keep the muffs and beard, as they're dominant, but after a while you'll REALLY need to try and keep both genes, otherwise half your offspring will be "clean faced."
Also, don't breed to Dominiques or the comb will go walnut-type. Most people find it ugly.
Also, if you breed to a single combed Rock, chances are your pea comb will stay in the offspring.
As for egg color, breeding it to anything but an EE or true Ameraucana will most definitely lose egg color. The most you can do is look for the guy around here who actually has green egg laying barred Easter Eggers, and use his stock to help yours.
The op's bird look to be a rooster so if the op would breed there Barred EE to a Black "true" Ameraucana they would get all Barred offspring.
Barred Rooster to a Black (or most other color) Hen = All Barred offspring
Black (or most other color) Rooster to a Barred Hen = Barred cockerels and Black pullets in the offspring..
After reinspecting them last night I think I have one roo and one pullet. The one in the pic I think is a roo bc his combs stands taller than the other ones. What the ages that EEs will start to lay or crow?
