Whatcha Making for Supper?

I'm roasting a pork shoulder low and slow. We'll have mashed potatoes, gravy and corn on the cob.

Also, canned 7 pints of chicken broth from my roasted chicken and have another pint in the refrigerator for more immediate use. One thing about roasting a chicken is, it just keeps on giving.

I have a tip for those who may not know. Freezing food on a cookie sheet before vacuum sealing has been very successful for me. Meat remains moist and tender, veggies hold their shape and liquid, lasagna and quiche do as well. Highly recommend it if you didn’t know.

And you don't have to try to stop the vacuum before the meat juice gets into the groove. Great idea!!! Thanks.
