Make that Brussels Sprouts. I didn't like the looks of the store's broccoli.
But they did have some good lettuce, too, so I added a salad to tonight's menu.
We are finally having the Guyanese Pepperpot for dinner. I would be inclined to immediately freeze any leftovers, but the recipe says there are so many preservatives in Cassareep sauce that it is shelf stable for several days!!! What are we eating???
We do not use a lot of store bought sauces and never buy packaged foods, except pasta or breads, that sort of thing, but we had to try Cassareep?

I'd be more inclined to eat something that has been kept on the stove simmering for days. Like those old frontier foods... or medieval...
