Whatcha Making for Supper?

Hubby took me out to eat at Chow King Buffet for my anniversary. I ate so much I can hardly move.

This is the second anniversary of my Broken Hip. Only 1/3 of people over 70 live more than a year after breaking their hip. I'm still here!
Oh wow! I didn't know that statistic. I've never known why a broken hip would cause death, but I'm sure glad it didn't in your case. I think you are well out of the danger zone, and deserved that anniversary dinner. :love

That stat is news to me, too.
I know people younger than me getting their hips replaced. With remarkable recovery time. I didn't think hips were such a big thing anymore.
Man. That's a stat I didn't need to hear 😳

I found a recipe for Spanish Garlic Shrimp, cooked more green beans, and found a small pot of goulash in the fridge.
So...

Sorry I goofed up with the stats. I ment to say 1/3 die with in a year after a broken hip. That's what happens when I type to fast and not proof read. I've corrected my goof. Sorry.
The deaths are caused by lack of mobility, pain, anxiety, depression and a lack of willing to live.

Still far too many, but I know that's what happened to my friend when he died. No will to live anymore. His wife had died just a few months before the broken hip. Sad, indeed.

Mine was a farm accident. We had been working all day. It was hot and humid and I kept putting off going over to my tractor for my water jug. I was working in the pickup bed, when I stood up I started to pass out. I ended falling off the tailgate, my right knee and elbow hit the ground hard. The knee hitting with all my weight caused the neck of the Femur to fracture. It was a stupid, preventable accident which was caused by dehydration.
