I'm having pierogi too, store bought of course, I think I defrosted strawberry and a kraut and mushroom. So sweet and savory. 2 different kinds not in the same pierogi. Also stir fry vegetables.

I didn't know there was such a thing as sweet pierogies.I'm having pierogi too, store bought of course, I think I defrosted strawberry and a kraut and mushroom. So sweet and savory. 2 different kinds not in the same pierogi. Also stir fry vegetables.
Sure:Sounds good.
would you be willing to share the recipe?
Well, not totally sweet, no added sugar, just sweet compared to the rest. We buy Alexander's pierogi . They are delicious. I just fry them in butter after thawing them. You gotta wear a bib to eat the blueberry ones.I didn't know there was such a thing as sweet pierogies.![]()
We also make what the kids call "Mexican Lasagna." Instead of the usual Italian ingredients, we sub in taco stuff - cheese, salsa, refried beans, tomato puree, cottage cheese, fresh tomatoes when we have 'em (they don't last long around here!) In place of noodles, we use tortillas - either all corn tortillas or alternated with flour ones. Using all flour tortillas makes it REALLY mushy ... like soggy bread. Just before serving, spread a big dollop of sour cream over the top & sprinkle it with some chopped chives or green onions. It looks pretty festive and tastes like a taco party!I like dishes like that!
Wish I would have thought of adding some cottage cheese.

Tip - Baking spreads the salsa's seasoning through the whole dish, so if you're using salsa, go EASY on the taco seasoning. I don't add it at all, but we use a spicy salsa.
Okay, now I'm hooked, again. Guess what's gonna be for dinner, tonight!
