Whatcha Making for Supper?

I don't shop at our town grocer at all. Perhaps things are outdated there because not enough people shop there. I think the problem is food doesn't get changed out on the shelf. In the beginning when we tried that store we came home with cream past its date. We generally look at that when we buy, but for some reason didn't that day. And the veggies there never looked fresh, although that has gotten better lately. We only go in if we need something in a pinch, but that rarely happens.

You and I must live in the same town

I stopped shopping there when I got a brick of moldy cheddar that I didn't think to inspect closely. And a green pepper that was black inside.

But four minutes away is just to dang convenient.
They got bought out by a local chain and were better for a while.

I used to have a buddy that worked for Van de Kamps in the city. His job was to inspect the trucks coming in with food and look at the hidden temp meter to see if the driver might have turned off his refrigeration unit to save on fuel.
If he refused a load, he said the driver would get right on the phone to a grocery store in town and take the load there.

I think that is what is going on with my town store. Small local chain that has two other stores.

I usually navigate their food pretty well, but the ribs caught me this time. Again. Lesson learned.

I've been dying to try this recipe for a while. And I have everything on hand to make it plus some Portuguese sardines I've been saving for a special meal.

I'm just not sure if I'll feel full afterward...

Hubby wants his favorite Scrambled Eggs & Beans, I'll have a Hot Dog.

How do you like your hot dog?
I eat them every which way.
Even the way they were shown on The Sopranos :clap
