Okay so sh*t on the shingles or chipped beef on toast.

Lol! Just reading sh*t on a shingle made my Hubby look sick! It was served for breakfast on his Destroyer and it looked and tasted like wallpaper paste. He said it seemed like his Destroyer was always rough seas when it was served. Lol!

Trying to make salisbury steak with potatoes and green beans. I forgot to take the potatoes out of the freezer though. Now I'm trying to thaw and reheat a brick.

Defrost in microwave? I don't do that often but it's good for a last minute remedy.

Funnily enough, I don't actually have a microwave. I haven't had one at my house for nearly 8 years. Surprisingly, I have actually done pretty well without one. A couple times a year, I lament not having one but with all the other appliances I have available, I can usually figure something out. This time I used my rice cooker.

Here is how it turned out. The gravy was a bit thinner than I wanted, but overall, everything tasted fine.

I agree. There is not much need for one anymore. Good for you! That leaves more space for the appliances you do want to use.
