Spaghetti squash loves to climb so you only need a few inches of bed space for the main stems if you send it up a trellis. I used a 1 foot wide 6 foot tall arch trellis between 2 raised beds and less than 1 foot of bed space to end up with about 15 squash for the season. (Sent cukes up the other side of the arch) And yes they last like 6ish months in a cool dark place but my basement is cat box territory and dont like storing food down there

so I force them on my friends and family and eat as many as I can for the month or 2 theyre good out on a kitchen counter
