whats a good laptop to buy

HP all the way for me! I love mine!

It is a HP Pavilion dv7-1285dx Entertainment Notebook PC and it is over a year old and running strong as it did when hubby bought it.

We have 2 gateways and their great. Stay away from the dell's. They're horrible.

Macbook! Best decision we EVER made when it comes to computers! My macbook is going on 5 years old and I have never had any trouble with it. No pesky upkeep and it is great for what you are looking for. It has been worth every penny we paid for it!

We also have a Dell which isn't even worth discussing.

I JUST bought a Gateway 15". Seems fine so far. From what everyone told me, it is mostly the guts that make the puter. Make sure it is a dual processor with 3/320 hd/memory, and you will be fine. Seems like $500. is the lowest you will spend for an entry level puter. Macs are awesome, but for the extra$500.??? Maybe when I'm rich and famous!
