what's biting dog's ears?!

The flappy part of our Lab's ears are covered inside with hard, tiny bumps that look like Braille.

Any idea what's biting her?

Are they scabby? Flies can be terrible for chewing on outside dogs' ears, but it's a little early in the season.

could just be a little Pseriusus (Skin Disease) You could buy ointment or shampoo for it...post a picture!

It could be gnats. They are pesky little boogers. Keep ointment on your dog's ears at all times and it will help.

You could spray her with a horse fly spray (like Bronco by Farnham) and see if that helps. Obviously you'll want to be sure it doesn't irritate her skin though.

No, do not ever do this. Dogs do not have the body mass that horses do and the sprays are computed for a horse's body mass. Had a vet tell me that this could actually kill a susceptible dog because it is that much stronger than that same chemical would be if it was mixed at a strength intended for a dog.

The bumps could be staph infection from allergies.
