WHAT'S IN MY CHICKEN'S COMB?

look at my leghorn's comb, its dark. what do you think it is? and why it gets dark?

As long as he's behaving normally, slight discoloration of the comb that comes and goes is merely an indicator of his mood and stress level.

On the other hand, if he's behaving lethargically and the comb goes uniformly dark, it may be he's having cardio issues. Otherwise, dark tips on one end of the comb showing a darker color intermittently is nothing to be concerned about.
