Whats in YOUR bator????? UPDATE, Pics Pg 12

We have 39 "surprise" eggs in the 'bator, on day 7.

Surprise because they could still be a rare few from our MIA BO roo, or from our predator deceased EE roo, or from our new roo, a gorgeous RIR.

We have RIR, SLW, BA, BL, BR and EE hens. They'll be an interesting bunch of fuzzy butts.

This past Saturday I put 8 silkie chicken eggs into the incubator. They only problem is that the eggs sat at the post office for a day and again for another day before I came home from being away, to put them in the incubator. I sure hope they didn't sit too long before putting them into the incubator...I'm worried. I guess since this is my first ever experience with hatching eggs, it is a learnng experience!

I'm sooooo excited! I'm already addicted to this website!

Did you set them out to settle for 4-6 hours before putting them in the incubator?

A couple of days shouldn't hurt.

If this will help you feel better, I had silkie eggs shipped from Alaska, The postal service took almost a week instead of 3 days to deliver them
