What's in your brooder box?

I used pine shavings and it worked fine.

i just saw a video on you tube where this guy has baby love birds and he puts them in a brooder box.....
the brooder box instead of chips/paper towels or newspaper has a doggy pee pee pad in it. I never thought of using that before. But I never thought of wasting paper towels either
with all their "mess."
plus wood chips i think make it a little warmer then just paper.

Pine shavings. Heat lamp, feeder, waterer. I keep it simple. The whole thing will be covered in paper towels the first day or two. beyond that, just the pine shavings.

Pine shavings, chick starter, fresh water, grit, heat lamp, thermometer, 8x10 framed glossy of the wife and I, and as of today, 30 new red roaster chicks for spring and summer BBQs!
