What's in your chicken medicine cabinet?

I use a kitchen scale for anything under 5 kg, a bathroom scale for birds over 5 kg, and sometimes I use a luggage scale. When I use the luggage scale I place the bird in a feed sack and weigh bird in sack.

Lol none of my chickens are near 11 pounds. And you have so over that?
I cant keep a chicken still enough for a kitchen scale.

When I have one that won't stand on the scale I take it into the bathroom and weigh it in the dark. They stand pretty still in the dark.

Ahh, thank you, that's what I thought.... does the blade close all the way quickly, or ratchet down with multiple 'squeezes'? Bet it's sharp as hell.
Not that I wish you to have had to use it, but sure wonder how effective it is.

Used them today to cull a chick. She became stuck to her shell and managed to pull her intestines out through her naval. I had hoped it was just her egg sac, but it was far worse than that.

Anyway, they were very effective. Very sharp and only needed to squeeze once and the job was done.
