What's making my EE cough like this?

get:

tylan 50 and some syringes

wazine (liquid wormer that kills big round worms)

ivermectin (pour on wormer that should be used 1 wk after the wazine to kill all remaining worms and parasites)

permethrin - this is great for leg mites, get the liquid 10% concentrate

and of course sevin like you mentioned.

Corrid, for treating cocci

terramycin, for eye infections

I think that's about it, or at least that's all I can think of at the moment.

I had a hen who sneezed like that.
It was an E.Coli infection in the lungs.
We found out because the vet took a swab of her throat and sent it to the lab.
E. Coli is serious so she had to be put down as did the two other hens who shared her drinking water.
Just a thought, maybe you should have her see a vet. For the health of your whole flock.

Just what i was thinking about! I read somewhere that sometimes they get an impacted crop because of an illness ( crop and gizard slowing down)... So that would explain both symptoms!

But can't you treat for e coli? Antibiotics?

Or maybe there's a moment when it's too late?

Also, can we treat e coli without antibiotics?

I was wondering though: isn't cocci a chick illness? My girls are getting old (younger should be more or less 15 weeks old ) and i'm not planning on getting more...

So...

I'll get oxine sometime next week. Same for antibiotics.
In the meantime, what can i do to help her?

Bleach her water?
Mist her with a mix of water and bleach?
Mist her with a mix of oregano oil?
Or would it be worst?

What you guys think?
