One Sat morning a couple of years ago I was sitting here at the computer with the windows open. Heard a clip, clop, clip clop - and the purr of distant engines.
I went out to look, because the only horse around here usually gallops down the side road-
A one horse drawn hearse. Driven by a gentleman dressed in a black suit and tall tophat, pulled by a black draft horse and a casket with brass trim on the sides and white roses on top of a US flag.
About 10 black limousines following, at a very slow pace. It was a very solemn and moving scene, and though they couldn't see me, I stood behind the shrub screen with my hand over my heart.
Not really crazy, but unusual, and incredibly moving! And like Terrie, I could tell more - but not here!
