What's the reason behind this huge chicken poo?

One of my chickens decided this was going to be what they sent out their backside. For a long while I thought one of my dogs found it's way into the run. What could cause this?

I’m going to assume it ate a big meal and took a big crap lol. Do you have a broody hen? They are known for dropping mega deuces.

Almost certainly a broody
Especially If it smells pungent ripe

I have 2 old hens that like to sleep in the nests every once in a while (why they do that, I have no idea since they stopped laying long time ago) so they hold their poop like broodys do. I find big poops next day out in the grass. I do not have a broody so I know that poop belongs to them because the nesting boxes are clean. Very odd behavior but it happens in my flock. Could this be happening in yours? If you don't have a broody hen, it could be a possibility
