Monday: 1:40am, 11°F, feels like -3°F, humidity 100%, wind NNE @ 14mph, gust to 20, 1 1/2" of snow accumulation. Haven't seen negative wind chill numbers since 1982.

Monday: 4:00am, 11°F, feels like -4°F, wind NNE @ 15mph, 4+ inches accumulation. As if the weather isn't enough to contend with....the pipes in the well house have froze up and the power went out at 3:40am!

Aw gee Sean, so sorry to hear that. Hope you and George are doing okay otherwise. Will the electric(?) company come out to restore the power? Is the power out for some of your neighbors also? I know out here if it's just one home without power - Edison doesn't feel it's a big deal. But if a neighborhood is without power chances are they will show up soon.

Will your pheasants be able to tolerate the cold?

It's 3.7F here now, thank goodness I don't have the dogs anymore. The kennel would be frozen inside out. The year 2021 is sure getting off to a bad start. Must be the new president's fault.

At least I have alternate heat sources for my house.
