Yep, PNW is a coniferous rain forest.
Lots of convergence zones, so Sequim to the north gets far less rain. Even Cattle Point on San Juan Island can have sun when it's raining in Friday Harbor.

I think most all of the rain in Colorado is being sucked up by Denver and surrounding areas. Sadly none is hitting the western slope.
