What is a red flag warning?

21:04 hrs, Central Ontario, Canada

0C (32F), clear, big old full moon made my walk to the barn to do evening chores a nice one. The young chooks wanted to run around the barn instead of going to bed, spent 30 min ‘herding cats’ to get them all contained.

Going to be -5C (23F) overnight with possible lake effect snow. Quite to change from last Thursday and Friday in the low 70f temps.
