crazy that it’s colder in texas than maryland these days. everything is like upside down!

-may be the El Nino pattern this year.
We always have "cold" nights in the winter time, but usually pretty mild days (50s). I love the winter time! When May rolls around, I am ready to hibernate until late October. Our summers are brutal, and it is tough on the chickens.

Chrissy it seems to be cold there frequently , i didn’t realize colorado was so freezing . has it always been this way?

We always get down into the teens, but it doesn't usually last longer than a few days at a time. As long as it warms up a little between cold snaps I can handle it

It's about 25 degrees here. One of my Welsummers, Pecan, died yesterday. Presumably she got sick from the cold. She had slight crossbeak and she was the one who taught me what my name is in chicken.
