What's the temperature where you are???

A few heavy showers during the day but it cleared enough to take the dogs out. All very calm at the lake.

Threat eases for Illawarra, South Coast

Some of the highest falls in the last 24 hours have been in the Illawarra — 215 millimetres fell at Cringila, 204mm at Port Kembla and more than 300mm at Jervis Bay in the Shoalhaven.

SES Deputy Zone Commander for South East Zone Barry Griffiths said there would be more rain over the weekend, but much less than the amount that fell in the last 24 hours.

"The low-pressure system is descending down the coast," he said.

"The main head of the rainfall is just below Point Perpendicular, moving into Ulladulla and Batemans Bay.

Hi Nym! I’m from the Hawkesbury. Naturally I know the Illawarra. Currently our rivers have flooded and I just made it over the bridges before they closed them. Phew! It’s a cool 12 degrees here but I normally make 10 degrees Celsius the temp to start the fire. Anything else we say put on an extra jumper! Lol. Breed ‘em tough.

Glad you made it across in time! Thanks for dropping in and updating. I'm fed up with the rain and mud - it gets dangerous. I liked the drought better ..I'm happy to use a hose :)
