It's tarantula season! They live in deep ground burrows lined with silk webbing. Males leave their burrows and roam around to find a mate. This will continue until September.

They get active, here, too. I will never forget one coming into the kitchen from the laundry room one year. That was a hoot!

First, Happy 4th of July to my neighbours to the south. Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Now, Weather:
24°C (75°F) feels like 30°C (86°F), overcast, but no rain predicted. Similar set up for tomorrow.

It’s humid enough that I have the fans on for the horses and chooks in the barn.

If it stayed like this year round I would be a very happy person 😊

Beautiful! We only get to see such spiders when the annual reptile show sets up. Always a great thrill. Steve Backshawl, host of the UKs Deadly 60, travels the world looking to get up close and personal with such spiders.
