Record-breaking sub-zero temperatures are expected to be felt across New South Wales tomorrow, with one weather forecaster warning of "unusually low" temperatures.

The system comes off the back of the weekend's cold, snowy change, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

Dry weather conditions are expected, due to a tailing strong high-pressure ridge which is holding cold weather over inland areas.

"We can expect more cold and frosty mornings across NSW up until mid-week," BOM meteorologist Jiwon Park said.

"The cold snap is nothing unusual, but the minimum temperatures reaching that low is unusual."
