What's the temperature where you are???

That seems quite sudden?
Not really. I don't think we've had a low yet beat 60F. We almost got there and still might.

This raises havoc when trying to put chicks outside in the summer. Of course, in the mid-70s and 80s during the day, they can all be outside, but when it's 50s at night, these 10-day-old silkies can't be out there without heat at night. We just plug in the cozy coop or if it drops into the 40s, like last night, we bring them in.

We are having some very warm days here, even the past two nites have been quite ok, and this is from someone who doesn't go sleeveless until it passes the 25C / 77F mark. I would be the chick hogging most of the heat :cool:

I have a heating blanket even in the summer, so me too!
 
I bought one of those small heat pads for the lounge at nite ... ohhh yeahh lol
They make heated everything now days, like slippers, socks, gloves, shirts, jackets, coats, hats, etc. I'm fine with my twin-size heating blanket. God forbid it goes over on Hubby's side! 😱
