The last time that mobile had a really bad flood was in 2010
When one of our Walmarts & some other shopping centers looked like island’s; and the city put up signs on the really bad areas where the water was up to the windows on the bigger vehicles and almost to the tops of smaller vehicles and one street that I know of had a deep 6 foot dip so that’s what that sign said
And after 2014 when I started riding the bus… once I rode a bus that got stuck for a little bit because the bus driver couldn’t turn around from the flooding waters and someone else had to come and turn the bus around and finish the route.
We have several area that flood regularly from storms but the people who live in those areas already know they live or work in a flood zone and are prepared
