Yep they sure don’t! Esp silkies, I chuckle seeing them get bowled over they don’t have enough weight to keep them upright. I have to go and carry them back inside sometimes 🥰 poor pookies it’s hard not to laugh sometimes!

Very chilly this morning horses were not happy to be sent outside.

It’s now -4C with a windchill of -6C. Brrr!

Last winter we had some nice winter days and hubby makes them paths up to the house so they can forage under the bird feeders up here (sunflower seeds).

One day we got hit with a sudden blizzard and I ran to the coop to see if they all made it in. There were four missing. I screamed running to the house to get my hubby. We couldn't see so trudged through about two feet of snow. We found them between the house and the coop nearly covered in snow by this point. They had either been blown or flapped off of the path over to there, where they became snowbound. We brushed them off and put them in the coop and recounted. All there!

Silkies are smart, said no one ever!

I didn’t know what emoji to give that! So I opted for surprise/shock!!! Wow ! Lucky birds you found them. ♥️

Life is full of adventures when it comes to slkies lol. My sister's were determined to take up residence in the yard across the street. She was very good friends with the neighbour, so the birds were ok as long as the neighbour was home keeping an eye out for any kitties.
