What's the temperature where you are???

I experienced this in 2020 and I will never forget the smell of sodden, liquid earth. Even the dog couldn't walk on the lawn without drawing mud. Over the course of that summer, a friend and I ended up walking the dogs at parks closest to the beach, but even those areas with sandy soils soon saw the rising mud. All the local parks' lawns grew to a most lush green grass of almost knee-height. Council mowing then scarred the spongy surface with their tractors. There are some areas where the tractor furrows remain.
We are having that now in my backyard, except I mowed the lawn the moment the rain stopped for a few hours. It is back raining again.

This past summer with so much rain I had issues trying to stay on top of mowing, thankfully my BIL was able to mow for me every few days.

Had a terrible time getting hay in. First cut was ruined, but I managed to get the second cut. Rainiest summer ever on record here.

19:12hrs

+2C and overcast, tonight -2C likely wet snow. Tomorrow +2C and snow. By Friday night it will be going down to -17C. Brrrr!

This up and down is crazy!

I went and purchased a second Sweeter Heater for the chooks, my bossy older ladies have been hogging the one I currently have, so I am ready for the temp drop this weekend.

Grass grows really fast after rain, feel like it just grown tall overnight. I have allergy with high lawn, so I mows the lawn often.
